Pendennis Castle - Castel Pendynas 1739  William Barrell Lt. General. Governor of pendennis Castle until 1749 William Barrell died. Buried Westminster Abbey

Built by Henry VIII to protect the anchorage of Falmouth, and re-fortified throughout its 400 year history. 
Visit the hands-on Discovery Centre. Tudor gun Deck and the underground defences.
Special Events programme thoughout the summer.
Location:
On Pendennis headland, half mile from Falmouth town centre. 'Land Train' Service from town (summer). Signposted from the town.

Open:
April to October, daily, 10am to 6pm (5pm in Oct).
Nov to March, daily, 10am to 4pm.
